Meet Deal Island skipjack restorationist Harold “Stoney” Whitelock and fellow Skipjack Heritage Museum board members, Bobby and Tommy Shores, as they reflect on the choices young men are faced with living on historic Deal Island on the Chesapeake’s Eastern Shore. He talks about working as a lineman, driving vehicles onto and through the surrounding marshlands. Stoney tells of investing in and rebuilding many of the skipjacks, historic oystering vessels, some which have lasted upwards of 100 years.
